Ronald Brown is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular
diseases, and interventional cardiology. He also performs pacemaker insertions. He practices primarily at St.
Marks Hospital, alternating clinic weeks and hospital coverage.

Dr. Brown grew up in Denver, Colorado, but moved to Salt Lake City
in time to graduate from Highland High School in 1977. He then attended the University of Utah, receiving his
B.S. in Chemistry, and graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1984. Dr. Brown immediately entered medical school, also at the
University of Utah, where he graduated in 1988.
Dr. Brown pursued an internship in Internal Medicine at the University
of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1988. From 1989-1991 Dr. Brown completed his residency, also in the Department of Internal
Medicine at the University of Iowa. He remained there between 1991-1993, where Dr. Brown filled a Fellowship opportunity
in the Cardiology Division.
Upon completion of his Cardiology training, Dr. Brown accepted
a position at the Medical Center Physicians, P.A. in Nampa, Idaho. From 1993-1997, Dr. Brown also served as the Director
of the Cardiac Catherterization Lab and Cardiology Services Department at the Mercy Medical Center. In 1994 he was appointed
Chairman of the Intensive Care Unit Committee at the Mercy Medical Center. Then, in 1997, Mercy Medical Center's Department
of Internal Medicine appointed him Vice-Chairman.
Shortly afterwards, Dr. Brown accepted an offer to join the Heart
Center in Salt Lake City, where he has been ever since.
Dr. Brown has written and presented numerous publications in his
medical field. In 1992, Dr. Brown received the University of Iowa Institutional Research Fellowship Award. In
1993, Dr. Brown was honored as the Chief Fellow at the University of Iowa.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, and is a
Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
