Michael Adjei-Poku, MD, FACC

Dr. Michael Adjei-Poku is originally from Ghana, where he attended medical
school and an internal medicine residency. He completed a masters in public health at Loma Linda University
in 1989, and then served as a research associate at Kaiser Medical Center. He completed his licencing requirements
with a another residency in internal medicine at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens. He then served as Chief
Medical Resident in 1993-1994.
Dr. Adjei-Poku then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at
the University of Utah, with subspecialty training in echocardiography. He was a staff cardiologist for Intermountain
Health Care from 2000-2003, and then joined the Heart Center in our West Valley location. He shares office time at our
Jordan Valley and Granger offices.
Dr. Adjei-Poku remains an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University
of Utah. He was elected to fellowship of the American College of Cardiology.
