Paul Gilmore joined the Heart Center in November 2006. He covers call at Jordan Valley and Pioneer hospitals.
He has extensive clinical experience in interventional and peripheral cardiology,
nuclear cardiology, and CT/MRI imaging.
Paul Gilmore attended Creighton University School of Medicine
from 1976-1980. He trained in Internal Medicine at Pensacolo, Florida from 1980 to 1982.
From 1982 to 1984, he practice Emergency Medicine in Florida and Wyoming, before completing his Internal Medicine residency program in 1985 at the University of Florida program in Jacksonville.
Dr. Gilmore proceeded with his cardiology fellowship at the same University, finishing in 1987. He ha
d practiced clinical cardiology and research
on the University of Florida faculty as an Associate Professor of Medicine until
moving to Utah. He has been director of the cardiac cath labs and the coronary care units.
He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology
and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Gilmore is a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology
, the
Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and the American Heart Association. He is a fellow in the American
College of Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and
Interention. He is a founding member of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He
has published book chapters on coronary interventions, and has published numerous articles during the past 20 years as a faculty member of the University
of Florida.
He enjoys skiing, flyfishing, mountain biking and running.
