Charles Haws, MD, FACC, FASE

Dr. Charles Haws has been practicing with the Heart Center since 1996 and is a member of the West Valley rotation.  He works primarly at Jordan Valley Hospital and Pioneer Hospital but also has privileges at St. Marks and Cottonwood Hospitals.  He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular diseases and Echocardiography.  He has a special interest in CT coronary angiography. 

Dr. Haws is a native of Logan, Utah.  He received his B.S. from Utah State University in 1975 and his M.D. from the University of Utah in 1979.  After completion of his M.D., Dr. Haws completed internship, internal medicine residency, chief residency, and cardiology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospital, in Iowa City.  He considers himself a loyal Hawkeye.

In 1984, Dr. Haws returned to Utah as Assistant Professor of Medicine - Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute at the University of Utah. 

In 1988, Dr. Haws returned to his hometown of Logan, UT where he founded Cache Valley Cardiology.    He worked there through 1996 until being recruited to join the Heart Center.  He has been with the Heart Center ever since.

Dr. Haws has served previously as Heart Center managing physician.  He is currently a member of the Board of Directors at the Heart Center as well as the Board of Pioneer Valley Hospital. 

He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. 

Dr. Haws and his wife have 4 children and one amazing grandson.    He enjoys running, golf, cooking and going to the movies.
